Too many to count! Most are located in one area, between Mars and Jupiter. It is thought that we can visit asteroid to find new resources or even to hop on one like a bus and use it to travel!

..that one is easy… :-)…there is an infinite number of asteroids in space.
The universe is as far as we can tell infinite. There are no boundaries that we have seen so far, and it is mind-boggling…

Asteroids are quite commons: some small, some large and some very large. so in this infinite universe, there must be a similar infinite number of asteroids.

Just to make sure we can keep an eye on the one that could potentially collide with Earth, teams are using ground-base and spacecraft to track them. There is currently one coming our way, but don’t worry, quite some distance away from Earth – Have a look at http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/asteroidwatch/ for the latest asteroid finds
