We are now about 7.4 billion people on the planet – There is a good website here that gives you an approximative count – http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/ – that’s fun.

Let’s do a fun mind game now –
      – If each person has 1 square meter, that’s 7.4billion meters….
      – in square kilometers we divide by 1000×1000, that’s 7400 square kilometers,
      – and let’s find the square root of that, ( what would be the length of the square with an area of 7400sqkm) which is 86km.
…we have just demonstrated that we could put ALL the people in the world in a square of 86 x 86 kilometers (53 x53 miles) if everyone was standing up in a 1mx 1m space.

Quite amazing !…think about it next time you are in the tube 🙂

      …as for space…as far as we can tell…it does not end… 🙂
