      Hi! Good one! For my tests I take 5 different tubes with different solutions in it.

      With the different solution you stabilize the blood which makes it possible to look at different cells or enzymes in the blood. I use Adenosine to look qt biological activity; Lithium Heparine tubes to prevent the blood from clotthing, with a serum tube I look at the liquid of the blood.

      Afterwards I process the blood and use a flowcytometer( a machine with 2 laser beams that looks at all the single cells) to look at teh immunological response of the blood.
