Question: when you are training the flight controllers is it like training pilots if not what stages of training do they go through?

  Flight controllers have to support the crew while they are in-orbit. They need to know all about the space station, the crew tasks, and how to help in case of questions from the crew. They go through a lot more theory classes and through simulations (where they pretend something goes wrong on the ISS and practice reacting, like firemen training).
