• Question: When you send a robotic machine into space and through the atmosphere why does it not get over charged in the Thermosphere

      Do you mean electric charging or heating?

      Both are taken care of at launch where the rocket is built to keep the spacecraft well protected. We are also careful when we land on other planets as the trip through the atmosphere can “charge” the lander with static electricity ..which could be a problem for the electronics on board
