• Question: How long can a human be in space for

      This is a fundamental question that we are using the space station to find out. We are sending people there for long periods of time, a year or more. We need to find out the very long time people can live in space to prepare for a trip to Mars or to colonise the Moon.

      Astronaut Scott Kelly just got back from a year in space. The cool thing is, he has an identical twin that stayed on earth so scientists can literally compare them to see what effect space has had on the one twin! 🙂
