• Question: will we ever be able to protect ourselves from gamma ray bursts

      Luckily we’re not near anything that could produce a harmful amount if gamma ray bursts (like a supernova for instance!). A large gamma ray burst near our planet would strip the planet of its atmosphere, so it would be pretty hard to predict and protect ourselves! It might not be impossible though 🙂
