Very cool question! At the moment we have only sent adults and an “old” person, to see the effects on the human body. There are several legal problems with sending a child, and I would guess also some medical. Long term damage can affect children more than adults, that is why parents take such care!
But you pose a great question to the research community and I am sure they can find reasons to propose it. Are you volunteering??

      Hi there,

As Richard said, there are many reasons why we cannot right now, starting with – it is still very risky –
Hopefully we will see more “normal” people being able to go to space and maybe you will be in a few years to come, thanks to commercial flight in low-Earth orbit. Can you imagine what it is going be like?

In the meantime we are also using robots to places where it is difficult to send humans like Mars…they are like our eyes hands and ears… and they don’t complain about the cold 🙂
