• Question: What do Robotics and Space have in common?

      …they are challenging, complex and so cool! …so both at the same time is amazing.:-P

      Fun aside, robot and space don’t really like each other, so this is where things gets interesting:
      – Radiation kills electronic,
      – Temperature go from -200 deg to +100deg easily – robots are not really keen on these extreme
      – Dust on the Moon and Mars are very corrosive and sticky – mechanisms don’t like that
      – Some motors don’t like the vacuum of space…

      But we need a lot of different robots in space – long arm on the space station, rovers on surfaces, smaller arm to pick up things on surfaces and we could have astronauts buddies to help them perform some tasks.
