The crew train again and again for each spacewalk they perform. They train in a huge swimming pool in Houston which has a replica of the space station. So in theory, the spacewalk is just a repeat of what they have trained. But in reality, the crew always take a moment when first exiting the station and before returning inside, to look at the Earth below and the deep blackness of space around them. This feeling is different from anything they experienced before.
